荷蘭平面設計師Hansje van Halem（1978年生）以其獨特的字體設計和複雜的幾何圖騰、近乎迷幻的插圖而受到讚譽。Hansje van Halem以數位的方式繪畫、編織、創建她的字母圖騰，並設計郵票、海報和插圖。她的設計實驗有時會應用於公共藝術委託上，包括荷蘭斯基普霍爾機場的圍欄設計。

她的作品被多個博物館典藏，包括荷蘭阿姆斯特丹市立博物館、荷蘭阿姆斯特丹大學、瑞士蘇黎世設計博物館和美鶻字形檔案館。自2017年以來，Hansje一直擔任荷蘭Lowlands音樂節的首席設計師。

Graphic designer Hansje van Halem (1978-) gathered recognition with her distinctive typography and geometric, almost psychedelic illustrations built on complex patterns. She digitally scratches, draws or weaves her letters and designs stamps, posters and illustrations. Her design-experiments sometimes lead to commissioned applications for public space, including a border fence at the Dutch Schiphol Airport. Her work is in the collection of museums, amongst others Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam (NL), Allard Pierson / UvA University of Amsterdam (NL), Museum für Gestaltung Zürich (CH) and Letterform Archive (USA). Since 2017. Hansje is the head designer of Dutch music festival Lowlands.

Hansje van Halem荷蘭平面設計師，利用她獨具風格的視覺設計手法，在實體建物上產生巨大影響力，《 Smart Gate》是一座長58米、高 4.2米的圍欄，位於阿姆斯特丹史基浦機場，作為貨物入境掃描區域前的公共藝術裝置。此作品靈感來自與貨車進出需要透過電腦掃描有關，於是Hansje運用擅長的數位視覺技法，將作品設計如電腦點陣或數位掃碼符號呈現，當你通過視覺掃描這個圍欄之後，你可以發現穿孔鋼板圍欄上，華麗地拼寫出"S-M-A-R-T-G-A-T-E。"

Hansje曾說「我真的非常喜歡將視覺設計具體化，與如此巨大且可以保存多年的東西相比，印刷品突然感覺就像是一張草圖。」雖然材料和規模對她來說是新的，但開發複雜、令人著迷的圖案是Hansje的特色。這位阿姆斯特丹設計師企圖與越來越多的開發商和建築師合作，將她的魔法應用於實體建案上，

此次參展作品為原作"S"的左下半部分，為藝術家授權在台全新製作。
